Shown here is the super slick industry leading rear Hope Tech 4 Version 4 hydraulic downhill disc brakes with 203 mm special 4 bolt Rohloff floating rotor. I have been racing only on Hope brakes for years as not only are they super powerful and naturally feeling but they are extremely robust and durable. Of course I try not to crash but those are inevitable and I have never even damaged the Hope brake levers in any crash. On my shorter travel Norco VPS and my green Norco downhill bikes they are equipped with some of the original Hope 4 piston downhill brakes from the year 1999 or 2000 and they still work like new! My shorter travel Norco VPS has something like 55,000 km on its Hope disc brakes. As weight is always
important I am using titanium rotor and caliper bolts.
