Women's
Custom Made Electric
Downhill Mountain Bikes
We fully understand
that what Women need in a bike can be quite different from what Men
want or need in a bike. This can include smaller sized parts - such
as wheels, shorter cranks, different handlebar stems and so on. The
total weight of Women's e-downhill mountain bikes is also crucial and
we save grams wherever we can to make your bike as light as possible.
Lets face it - lighter bikes are always more fun!
My goal is to give
back downhill mountain biking enjoyment to rider's like myself that
may be getting older and have had some serious injuries in the past.
Whether its from issues such as this or breathing difficulties from
asthma or other issues, I have found it increasingly difficult to climb
Seymour, Cypress or Fromme Mountains with my Downhill Mountain Bikes
- particularly because of the severe damage to my left knee and the
pain caused by applying pressure to the pedal. The Answer: Electric
Pedal Assist Motor Conversions allow riders to have varying levels of
power assist to be able to get back up the mountain. Many kits also
have a throttle option that permits power without pedalling.
As of October 2025, I
recently saw that Specialized was offering an electric assist dual suspension
all mountain bike (yes - not even a downhill bike) for $20,000 USD.
That is insane! I believe it has only a 350 Watt motor and far smaller
battery pack than that on the following 2000 Norco Shore Ladies Downhill
eBike. Lets make your existing bike do more for you at a fraction
of the price!

It's
really simple to get your own mountain bike converted:
|
-
-
Bring
us your own bike that you want modified
-
Discuss
with us the options and upgrades that you want that can include
electric motor kits, custom paint, custom graphics, custom parts
and custom machining of specialty parts
- If you are not
familiar with or have never tried an electric dual suspension mountain
bike I will be happy to take you on a local/ close by test ride on
either my yellow large size frame 2001 Norco dual suspension (for
riders 5 foot 10 inches and taller) or the black 2000 Norco Shore
medium size frame dual suspension mountain bike shown below. Both
have the mid mounted Bafang 750 Watt 51 Volt electric pedal assist
motor systems with throttles. I have an easy short trail near my home
that has some small jumps and nice turns and about 500 meters from
this trail there is a jump park with dirt jumps of varying sizes.
I will require you to bring your driver's license or passport, your
helmet, gloves and any other protective equipment that you normally
wear.
- I will prepare
a written estimate for you and as soon as you confirm and leave me
a deposit I will get started!
- Pick up your updated
bike when ready!
Most importantly,
we will build your downhill electric mountain bike exactly how
you want it done! We also fully understand that what Men need in a bike
can be quite different from what Ladies want or need in a bike. Apart
from smaller frame sizes, we can also look at smaller wheelsets (24"
or 26"), shorter handlebar stems and a variety of handlebars to
suit your riding posture.

Check out my
documentary style short film showing the 3 days of downhill
testing of the downhill mountain biking capabilities of
the new custom made 2001 Norco Shore electric downhill mountain
bike. Watch the progressively more aggressive downhill trail
testing first at Grouse Mountain's new Downhill Mountain Bike
Park in North Vancouver, then on some famous trails on Mt. Seymour
in North Vancouver and finally a special midnight night shoot
in a pitch black local forest trail in Langley, BC. Complete
with interviews with Downhill Dave and a review of the results
after each testing session, featured is some fast paced single
track downhilling that may show that at 59 years old, Downhill
Dave may "still have it" after wondering for years
if he was just a washed up former semi-pro downhill racer (laughs).
Set to a thumping licensed soundtrack featuring popular BC bands
Cyanotic, Everlasting glow, Radio Killer and Girth the goal
of this film was to get used to the fresh new motor system,
points of power engagement and differences in the overall bike
weight for things like bunny hopping and jumping. Hopefully,
other new riders of electric downhill mountain bikes can follow
this progressive advice as they get used to their new ebike:)
